Municipal House

The Municipal House is a cultural and social center built between 1905 – 1911 in Art Nouveau style. Its interior houses a concert hall, a café, a restaurant, ball-rooms and exhibition halls. A whole generation of artists from the first decade of the 20th century helped to decorate its rich interior and exterior: A. Mucha, M. Svabinsky, J. V. Myslbek and many more worked and performed in this great center. Many important concerts, including the International Prague Spring Music Festival, are held in the magnificent Smetana Hall.
