The National Theater is the most beautiful example of Czech architecture from the second half of the 19th century. It was built in Neo-Renaissance style and has an unusual history. Before its solemn opening, The National Theater was almost destroyed by fire. Thanks to public collections, it was rebuilt within two years. The National Theatre is the most important Czech stage and its repertoire consists of drama, opera and ballet performances.
